As most of you know I have been training full-time, six days a week since January 25th 2012 till today and I’m going to keep training for the rest of my life. However, quite a few of you have asked to see the before and after or shall I say update to date results. I know I have lost quite a bit of weight but sometimes I forget that that’s actually the case. I get reminded once in a while when I see someone I have not seen in quite some time or when I try on my old clothes and they are way to big for me. O ther days I can look in the mirror and all I see is…I don’t know how to say this in a nice way but since I’m talking about myself I guess I can use the word fat. Other days I can look in the mirror, smile and be happy with my results and proud I have come this far. If you look at the above photo I think there is quite a difference in my face from January till today despite the fact that I have let my bangs grow out. I feel like my face has taken more of a shape and looks less like a round football. What do you think?
However, I think the biggest change has been to my entire body though. If I just look at the picture above I can see a big difference. This does not mean I’m done training and changing my body. Far from it. I have lost a total of 25kg (not sure what that is in pounds) and I want to loose at least another 10kg. Some people say they think that’s too much but I think that I’m the only one who can decide that. I’m the one that has to be happy with myself and with my body. It dosn’t matter what anyone else thinks. Although, I have lost all this weight I know I have also gained a lot of muscle and since muscles weigh more than fat I’m not quite sure of the exact kg I have lost. I know there is a way to calculate this but I don’t know the formula. Maybe I can ask my PT this week to help me out an calculate a more accurate number.
Training can help you a lot when it comes to weight loss or toning your body but what you eat is another very important factor. I try to eat very healthy and I try to eat at home most of the time. This is not because I’m cheap or boring. It’s because I know exactly what I’m eating and I’m not eating extra calories that I don’t need. I “kill” myself every day in the gym and the last thing I want is to “kill” myself without getting any results. Don’t get me wrong I have cheat days for special occasions such as birthdays or parties but they are well calculated. I believe that there has to be a healthy balance between eating right and exercise for one to be able to achieve results and keep the weight off. It’s so hard to loose weight and so easy to gain it back that another important step to take into account is keeping the weight off. You can’t starve yourself to loose all that weight and then stat eating what you were eating before because you will gain it all back no doubt.
Anyways, this post was not supposed to be about me telling you how to loose weight I just wanted to share with all off you the progress of my body transformation so far. Am I happy and proud of the results so far? Yes, I am but I’m not at my goal just yet so I just have to keep going and I’m sure that one day I can get to where I want to be.
If you lovelies have any suggestions, opinions, questions or thoughts on this post I would love to hear them all but till then take care and stay healthy. I like to say – She believed she could, so she did and I also think that skinny girls look good in clothes but fit girls look good naked. Just saying…
