Mirza Minds, a Chicago-based company, released its all-new “1:Face Watch” in an attempt to fuse humanity and fashion; as well as forward the concept that a consumers’ conscious should motivate their purchases. The watch will features a square, mirrored screen; which is set in a silicone band and illuminated by an LED display. The goal of the 1:Face Watch is to use its good looks and
functionality as a springboard to raise awareness and funding for worldwide issues, as well as to encourage consumers to make a
difference in the world around them.
The watch’s aforementioned “mirror design” does this by focusing the attention on its owner and thus reminding them
of the impact that they can have on the world. The idea being that every time you check the time you’re reminded both of the causes you’ve helped, as well as other efforts that could benefit from your assistance.
“Our goal was to design an affordable and trendy product that would benefit the world, and we have accomplished
that with this stylish mirror-watch,” said Faraz ‘Fam’ Mirza, Creative Director of Mirza Minds. “All my life I wanted to do a project that would [help] the world.”
You as the consumers have the option of six different 1:Face Watch colors including white, black, pink, blue, red and yellow with a clear band. Each of the colors represents a different cause and an accompanying charity. White represents poverty, black for cancer, pink for breast cancer awareness, blue for the environment, red for AIDS awareness, and clear for water. A percentage of revenue from the sale of each watch will go directly to the corresponding non-profit organizations- the names of which are available on 1FaceWatch.com
