Versace for H&M

I am so excited that the next collaboration between H&M and a high-end designer is Versace you have no idea. I grew up loving Versace since my moms best friend owned the Versace store in Stockholm. I would go there almost every day of the week to do a little shopping and to visit my moms friend and her two daughters which were my age.

When I got a little older, like around the age of 16 I would borrow some of my moms clothes or I would wear my own Versace pieces but most of my friends always asked me why are you wearing that? And I used to say it’s Versace thinking how do you not know this brand!

Following up on its highly successful projects with designers like Lanvin, Karl Lagerfeld and COMME des GARCONS, H&M has just announced that its next designer collaboration will be with the legendary house of Versace. Designed by creative director Donatella Versace, the collection will channel the legacy and heritage of the Italian luxury label by incorporating leather, prints and (of course) a lot of color. The collection, which will include items designed for men, women and home, will be available starting November 17, 2011 at nearly 300 H&M stores worldwide and online. Versace has also agreed to design an exclusive pre-spring collection for H&M that’s expected to launch online on January 19, 2012.

This is a picture of Donatella from the other day in Milan walking down the runway wearing one of the pieces from the future collection. I am so excited that I am not sure if I will be able to wait till November. I think this is the collection collaboration I am the most excited about.
