Louis Vuitton Price Increase

In February, Louis Vuitton increased their prices on most of their items in the US store.

The price increase is around 10% depending on the product. For example, the Speedy 25 is now $710 while it was $665 before.

What do you think of the price increase?

Do you think it was necessary for them to compete with other high-end brands such as Chanel, Hermes, and Balenciaga?

Apple iPhone 4 in White

So finally the iPhone 4 in white is being released, but what do you guys think about it getting delayed until now?

I am an Apple lover, and could probably kill someone for this phone, nah, not really, but you get the point. However it’s not really like the white iPhone is better than the black one. And how long will it take to get this one? I guess some people will camp outside stores and stuff, mean whiles others will wait a few months to buy it, and by then the iPhone 5 specifications will be out? There’s already rumors going on it will be sold in September.

Anyways, it’s the best phone on the market if you ask me, but is it worth buying it right now?

Super Mario Bros x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 25th Anniversary Collection

I can bet at least 10 dollars on that everyone who will read this knows about Super Mario, but maybe just some of you know that it’s our little friends 25th birthday this year! There’s been many ways to celebrate this, such as events at the Nintendo stores, special releases of the old games but for the new Wii, but what I just found is the best one so far!

It’s a collaboration between Super Mario Bros. (or should we say Nintendo) and Converse. An absolutely smashing model of the classic Chuck Taylor model, filled with small Super Mario figues, but the coolest part on this sneaker is the eyes added to the original Converse star, to create the ‘super-mode’ Super Mario star!

The shoe concept is a bit ‘Classic meets Classic’. Right now it only looks like this shoe will be released in Japan, which is sad. But if you’re having your ways past Japan, or maybe you are a  hard-core Super Mario fan and you will try to buy this sneaker anyways, the release date will be in July.

Chop! Chop!

Chopping up veggies and stuff when cooking is probably the most boring thing EVER, until now, Italian design firm Lucidipevere Studio just solved the problem with their newest product, the Chop Knife!

Brilliant and fun design with a really good function. It is constructed with steel and rubber, and from looking at the pictures I’m pretty sure it is easy to use. Perfect to use when chopping up all kinds of herbs and other stuff you can think of… And when you are done chopping, u just close it up, safety first!

Lego Soap

I’ve been posting some Lego stuff from time to time and here is another product. It happens to be a soap shaped as a Lego.

Do you dig it? Then dig your pockets for some coin and buy it here.

Sony S1 and S2 Android Tablet Computer

It’s time for Sony to hit the tablet market as well, with two models called S1 & S2.. The S2 just reminds me of a Nintendo DS, haha. and as the Apple freak I am, this stuff won’t beat the iPad ;)

“The first is the Qriocity-focused 9.4-inch S1 media tablet with both front- and rear-facing cameras and a curved wrap design that resembles a folded magazine. The S1 features a Tegra 2 SoC and customized “Quick and Smooth” touch panel UI with “Swift” web browser. It can also be used as a remote control for Sony gear thanks to integrated infrared.

The second tablet is the dual-screen S2 clam shell with its pair of 5.5-inch 1,024 x 480 pixel displays, Tegra 2 SoC, and camera. While it sounds bulky, Kunimasa Suzuki just pulled the hinged tablet from his jacket pocket on stage. Sony takes advantage of the two screens with a custom book-style UI layout for its e-reader app, split keyboard and messaging displays for email, and split display and game controllers for PS One gaming. Both the S1 and S2 are PlayStation Certified, support DLNA, and are WiFi and 3G/4G “compatible” according to Sony.”

Nike Sportswear Air Force 1 Foamposite “White Pack”

I  just heard about the hotest Nike Air Force 1′s I’ve seen in a long while!

It’s an all white model called “Foamposite”, with a crispy white look and a ice breaking blue sole.. Damn, what more do I have to say? Just enjoy the pictures….

Towa Tei with EFFECTOR “MAESTRO” Glasses

Japanese musical artist TOWA TEI collaborates with fellow Japanese eyewear label EFFECTOR on a new range of eye-wear. The electro house artist creates a single model over three different colors. The slightly unorthodox shape is seen in black, tortoise and clear versions. I really like the clear one personally.

Available at CRADLE.

Herman Miller by George Nelson Basic Cabinet Series

Herman Miller announces the first in a series of product reintroductions from its collection of designs by George Nelson, kicking off May 21, 2011. George Nelson was Herman Miller’s Director of Design from 1945-1972. After taking the role, he maintained his independent design practice and deftly carried on the company’s course of producing contemporary furniture made from minimal materials appropriate to the emerging modern lifestyle.

Designed by George Nelson in 1946, the Basic Cabinet Series was produced as a modular system of simple case goods intended for the home or office. A wide array of individual pieces all readily interchangeable for complementing any room, the Basic Cabinet Series was known for its practical storage areas and handsomely designed exteriors.

Today, the series includes four chest-cabinet combinations available in two handsome veneer options, including light brown walnut and natural oak. All the pieces coordinate in size, shape and design and work in either vertical or horizontal arrangements to achieve a custom-made, built-in look.

Colette x Baxter of California “Cruel Summer” Candle

Colette and Baxter of California collaborate on a new candle offering dubbed “Cruel Summer.”Featuring the sensibilities of both brands on the packaging, the box features a fun retro-esque Cali font with the cleanliness associated with Baxter of California’s aesthetics.

The design of the candle came courtesy of Marc Atlan, an art director who’s impressive resume includes COMME des GARCONS, Helmut Lang and Yves Saint-Laurent. The soy max candle’s scents feature “powerful green, leafy top note accented with a citrus lemon undertone. Very, yummy boys! The body of this complex blend is a floral, green bouquet starring brilliant hyacinth, tempered with notes of cyclamen, and accented with a fresh marine accord. These rest on an alluring white musk base, embellished with cedar wood.”

And no I don’t candles are to feminine for men or boys…make your place smell nice for the ladies!

Available at both colette and at Baxter Finley in Los Angeles.

Nike Sportswear – Air Talaria Boot

Originally spotted back in 2007, Nike Sportswear revisits the Air Talaria Boot for the Summer 2011 season. Much like the initial set seen here, the shoes feature a laser-etched upper with a mix of leather, nu-buck and mesh throughout. Vibrant colors compliment both dark bases, while speckled detailing adds some ACG-like qualities through the mid-soles.

Although some of you may be excited for this release I just can’t help but thinking who is the Nike guy that chose the color combinations on these sneakers? Ugh…

Anyways, if you  like them look for a release next month at select Nike Sportswear retailers worldwide, with a peek into both colorways here.

Craig Redman for LAQ “Darcel” Furniture Piece

After launching an initial collection in 2010 that included three tables made from the traditional techniques of lacquering, furniture specialists LAQ reveal several new special pieces for 2011.

Made by 2, 4 or 6 hands, they happen to enrich the imaginary world of LAQ by telling new stories developed through unique encounters. One of the projects include a design created alongside Australian artist Craig Redman and his character Darcel. Darcel is a small and disabused character straight out of Craig Redman’s imagination.

Made of resin, wood and lacquered metal, mother-of-pearl and eggshell, this high-craftsmanship’s version of Darcel offers a hidden storage in his eye such as the 17th century ceremonial furniture for secrets.

This is the radical clash of periods, styles and thoughts that symbolize LAQ products.

Metropol Parasol

Following a competition held by the city of Seville, Spain back in 2004, a redevelopment project was initiated to build the Metropol Parasol at the site of the city’s Plaza de la Encarnacíon.

This beauty is designed by J. MAYER H. Architects, the Metropol Parasol took five years to build at a cost of €90 million and is the world’s largest wooden structure, spanning a total of 12,670 square meters.

Can I just say…WOW!

Featuring a series of interweaving waffle-like panels that architecturally form canopies and walkways, the timber structure will serve as a giant farmer’s market, archaeological site and an elevated plaza containing numerous restaurants and bars, marking the city of Seville as the newest urban center and a must-see destination which I will most def visit this summer while I am in Europe.

Here are some more photos of this crazy project.

OriginalfAKE “Baby Crawling” T-Shirt

OriginalFake recently released a new online exclusive style with their “Baby Crawling” T-shirt.

The graphic features a black and white execution which involves a photo of a baby mixed with OriginalFake founder KAWS’s signature Bendy character.

The shirt is available through the OriginalFake online store in two colors, either gray or black but hurry I think they are almost sold out.

Globe-Trotter “William & Kate” Luggage Collection

In celebration of the Royal Wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton, British luxury company Globe-Trotter has designed this special edition luggage collection. With a history of over 100 years in the British Royal Family, the company has released these seven different hard-shell models in both “William” and “Kate” versions. While the “William” set features a navy and chocolate shell with a striped shirt lining, the “Kate” set features an ivory and navy shell lined with a more feminine print.

The set is currently available for order exclusively through Globe-Trotter so if you are planning to trot around the globe this summer this might be a good option, personally I’ll stick to my Samsonite and Rimowa suitcases.

Mykita x Bernhard Willhelm SS 2011 Eyewear

Offered is a look into the latest co-lab effort between eye-wear brand Mykita and designer Bernhard Willhelm. Together the two develop a series of interesting concepts featuring the use of mylon, a material which thermally adapts to the shape of your face. I think that is pretty cool and I have never heard of glasses like that before , but maybe it’s just me.

Three models are featured in the set, available in colors that include black, grey and pink. The complete lineup can be found through select Mykita retail stores and stockists, with a look into the other two available here.

Back to Basics with ellesse Heritage The Assit

Footwear specialists ellesse brings back its classic The Assist for Spring 2011, part of the brand’s Heritage line.

Worn on the feet of late ’80s skate kings Natas, Mic E Reyes and Tommy & Thiebaud, the kicks sprawled across the pages of Transworld magazine back in the day.

The Assist holds all the staple features of the classic skate shoe with a chunky and bright design, protective lace loops, high top ankle protection, thick gummy soles and signature logo and I love them!!!

Do you?

BlackDA Leica i9 Concept Camera for iPhone4

The iPhone 4 was undoubtedly the catalyst for an all new movement in digital photography. The ability to instantaneously share imagery together with a competent performing package and social apps such as Instagram have made the iPhone 4 virtually uncontested in ubiquity.

BlackDA create a concept that hopes to further enhance the properties of the iPhone 4 with its Leica i9 concept. Based on a “Compliment without Compromise” philosophy, the i9 serves as an add-on camera and case. The case includes internal flash memory to house images from a Leica 12.1 MP CMOS sensor and lens which also contains 8x optical zoom. Paired together, the BlackDA Leica i9 Concept Camera boosts greater performance with the connectivity of the iPhone 4.

Pretty damn cool if you ask me!
