Power Workout



I feel SUPER energetic today and that is why I am going for a power workout!

Woop Woop!

I am going to start off with a one hour Zumba class with my friend Nat and maybe some other friends. I really hope they can join us, because the more the merrier. I sent them a message but no one has answered. I am not sure if it’s because they didn’t see it yet or because they are pretending they have not seen it because they don’t want to join me on my power workout LOL! I also asked my friend Rick if he wanted to come but he said he is working late. What? Do I believe that…eehh…not sure but I guess I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Zumba is a great workout but it’s all cardio for 60 minutes. We usually do a tiny bit of streching at the end of the class but not as much as in yoga that is. Did you know that you can burn up to 800 Calories when doing Zumba for one hour? That’s a lot and that is one of the reasons why I love going to Zumba classes. I feel like I have shrunk at least one size when the class is over.

However, after today’s Zumba class I will head over for a 90 min hot yoga class just up the street for some more calorie burning. In a hot yoga class you can burn anywhere from 600 to 1200 calories depending if it’s a 60 or 90 min class and also depending on your body type. WOW! You guys I can burn up to 2000 calories today in two and a half hours! Now that is really motivating! Now I am even more excited about my power workout. It will be my first time for a power workout so I will let you know how it goes and how I feel after.

I am hoping I will feel GREAT and if that is the case I will consider doing this type of workout 2 to 3 times a week!
